Hello! My name is Sarah Trader and I’m so happy you stopped by to visit!

I started this blog in 2010 as a way to chronicle my life and capture family memories, funny work stories and just my overall outlook on life. I had a great time writing for several years but then it started to feel like a burden. Now, in 2018 I’m back to pick up where I had left off. A lot has changed but in the same way, a lot is still the same.

Who/what is Team Trader? It started out as the name of my woman’s volleyball team. Since then, it has come to mean so much more and is really symbolic of my family life too.

Now for a little bit more about me.

I am married to my amazing husband CJ, who is a stay at home dad.

We are blessed that he is able to be at home taking care of our beautiful daughters, Isabella and Cora. He also wrangles in our dog Sandy. You can learn more about my family here.

I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska and have lived here most of life. I did move away to go to college in Cedar Rapids, IA (go Kohawks!) and then spent close to a year in New York City. Living in NYC was an amazing experience that really molded who I am. I learned a lot about life, being independent, various cultures, and the big city. Eventually I moved back to Omaha because my family is all here and I wanted to be close to them.

I’ve come to learn a lot about myself over the last few years. People would likely describe me as people-person who can talk to anyone, has fierce passions (Steelers! Thor, or rather Chris Hemsworth!), is up for anything, generally goes with the flow and am loyal to my friends and family.
